Justin Otto


Born and raised on Long Island, Justin grew up in the hotbed of lacrosse. He graduated from Chaminade HS in 2001 and is a 2005 graduate of Manhattan College in Riverdale. There he obtained his degree in Civil Engineering while playing lacrosse at the D1 level. Justin plays attack and is currently the All-Time Leading goal scorer in MC history (129), second in points (172) and was part of the 2002 undefeated season winning the MAAC Championship and playing in the first round of the NCAA playoffs against Georgetown. He scored the first goal in MC playoff history in that playoff game.

He received Team MVP honors in 2003 along with 3-Time First Team All-MAAC selection, a Second Team All-MAAC selection, 2-Time All Tournament Team, led the team in scoring and points in three out of his four years and was Top 20 in goals in Division 1 every year. Otto finished his career ranking second among active players (from 2001-2005) in Division 1 with 129 career goals, only 4 behind Cornell's Sean Greenhalgh.

Otto stayed on board after graduation for a season and was the Offensive Assistant Coach at MC for 2005-2006. He went on to be the Assistant Varsity Coach for Riverdale Country Day in 2008 & 2009. In 2010 and 2011, he was the head JV coach at Bronxville H.S. going a combined 23-11 and producing 6 Varsity players as freshmen and sophmores. He then became the Varsity Assistant Coach/Head Offensive Coach at Stepinac HS from 2012-2013, producing 4 college commits to play lacrosse, 5 players with 40+ points, a CHSAA championship in 2013 and several CHSAA 1st and 2nd Team players. From 2014-2016, he was the Head Varsity Coach at Westlake H.S. where, in just his second season, gave the team their first winning record in program history (10-8) and their first ever playoff win in the 2015 season.

Currently, Coach Otto is the Assistant Head Coach at Rye High School where he helped lead the Garnets to a League Title, going 5-0 in league play and 14-4 overall in his first year. 

Coach Otto is also the Assistant Coach of Team USA and their U-19 boys box lacrosse team and works with some of the best coaches in the game! Justin has 20+ years of lacrosse knowledge and has played on the U.S Developmental Box Lacrosse Team, the Boston Rockhoppers, Baltimore Bombers and Rhode Island Kingfish (NALL) as well as the Reading Rockets (PLL).

As a Director, Justin feels it is important to always be seen and heard. He attends every practice of every team to make sure the principles of Top Side always come first and that you gain something from every penny spent.
