Michelle Mason

Michelle is a 2005 graduate of Keene State College in New Hampshire. While at KSC, Mason was a stand out player both in goal for the women's soccer team and on the offensive end for the women's lacrosse team. Michelle still currently holds records in both sports and was most recently named to the Keene State College Athletic Hall of Fame for both soccer and lacrosse in February 2012. As a player, Mason had no rivals as a record-breaking attacker for the Owls. A three-time All-LEC all-star, the Fairport, New York, native established Keene State career goal (202), assists (82), and point (284) records. Mason began her coaching career at Keene State as an assistant in both soccer and lacrosse in 2005. In June 2006, Mason took the reins of the women's lacrosse program and was 21-14 in her two seasons, the second highest winning percentage of the program's six head coaches.

After two seasons at KSC, Mason decided to pursue a career goal of coaching Division I Lacrosse and was offered the head coaching position at Iona College in New Rochelle in 2008. While at Iona, Mason has coached 15 All-MAAC Players and 35 MAAC All-Academic Honorees. In 2012, the Gaels posted a program best 9-7 record and were recognized with 5 All-MAAC Awards, an All-Rookie Team Selection, 5 All-Academic Team Members, and the MAAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year Award. The Gaels head coach is an invested member of the Westchester Lacrosse Community and has worked closely with the Edgemont, Pelham, and Larchmont-Mamaroneck Youth programs.
